The book is about Joe and his battle with the fear of passing exams, family and society pressure, becoming a chartered accountant though not by choice but because of his father like every middle-class family.

Joe clears his CA inter-level and dreams of a bright future lying ahead of him. He clears his interview and gets to start his articleship in a reputed firm. Joe’s sheer determination made him lead and excel in several audits. But soon his excitement and elation are suppressed by his senior Mahesh who leaves no stone unturned to make his articleship a nightmare. 

Joe’s love interest in Mary and his friends keeps him motivated to cling to the office. Articles are the interns and articleship is like an internship in the CA profession. Author Akhil Manuel has effortlessly and smoothly explained accountancy terms and the audits technicality in the most interesting way. 

There are many interesting events, scams, diddle, frauds during audits that thrill the readers to the core. The Articleship Diaries book takes you on a fun journey of student life and the blend of several emotions, failure, hope, professional life, friendships, romance, break-ups, office politics, first memorable goa trip, hatred, life goals, and success.
